Account Manager - Logistics

Job Description

We are working with a Logistics Service Partner seeking an Account Manager to join their team in Chicago.

Responsibilities;

  • Work across functionally within the company to communicate with all stakeholders in customers' success.
  • Develop and manage existing and new accounts
  • Communicate with clients and coordinate/arrange their transportation needs
  • Assist in developing and maintaining customer relationships
  • Handling day-to-day operations and high-level customer concerns regarding the timely pick-up and delivery of freight
  • Working closely with Carrier Sales team to make sure they understand customer requirements and collaboratively develop solutions to increase business levels
  • Build solid relationships with customers and grow existing and new accounts
  • Create and maintain relationships with customers to better understand and achieve their needs
  • Make visits to customers to identify opportunities for growth within our client’s platform
  • Manage all reporting about the health of customers' accounts

Skills Required;

  • Previous account management experience
  • Experience working within trucking/drayage
  • Articulate and well accustomed to a client-facing role
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Experience working within the transport/logistics sector
  • Good communication skills
