Import Bookings Coordinator

Job Description

Alchemy is working with a Shipping and Logistics organisation seeking a Import Bookings Coordinator based in New Jersey.

The position will be coordinating the traffic responsibilities alongside the Shipping Manager in the day to day functions.


  • Performing complex analysis and reports on data
  • Handle the daily handling of traffic functions for operations and support Customer Service.
  • Sending delivery orders and dispatching shipments
  • Verify bill of lading
  • Ensure containers are moving to destinations
  • Ensure cargo is moved out of terminals
  • Communicating with management
  • Assist the shipping departments
  • Ensure on time and accurate shipments
  • Create shipping documentation and bills of lading
  • Arrange transport schedules with carriers
  • Create export paperwork and shipping labels
  • Route outgoing shipments
  • Work closely with logistics providers
  • Post orders using internal system

Skills Required;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with shipping/logistics/freight forwarding
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Experience working in a similar position
  • Strong administration skills
