Lab Supervisor

Alchemy are currently partnering with a global technology firm who are looking to recruit a Lab Supervisor to be based onsite in Redmond, WA.

Job Description:

  • Act as primary contact for work requests for the lab.
  • Create and maintain intake form for capturing and monitoring progress on all projects in the lab.
  • Coordinate with FB to prioritize lab work and projects
  • Create and maintain logs of completed jobs across all sectors of lab.
  • Support running of tools and tests on an as needed basis, through coordination with FB Perform functions of the lab technician on an as needed basis, through coordination and agreement with FB.
  • Oversee the proper storage, handling and logistics of chemicals.
  • Coordinate with EHS for safety training, signage, protocols and lab walks.
  • Participate in the creation, editing and implementation of SOPs.
  • Help facilitate ordering, create documentation, oversee compliance to DOT and HMIS.
  • Coordinate with Facilities to support area maintenance.
  • Manage chemical inventory.
  • Creation of or support of data file storage and transfer system for sharing laboratory output across FB, as needed.
  • May be Accountable for maintaining up-to-date tool status in MES or other FB systems
  • May be accountable for acquiring tool specific fixtures as identify by FB and lab technicians
  • Coordinate and maintain library of SOPs across entire lab according to FB requirements
  • Monitor equipment repair status, create service calls, coordinate with lab techs for servicing equipment.
  • Coordinate all new tool installations with space planning, facilities, equipment engineering and other XFN partners.
  • Be the point of contact for the lab with Purchasing, Logistics, EHS, Security, Facilities, and vendors.
  • Escalate tool outage issues to FB and HCL stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain OPEX budget for lab operations.
  • Provide in-person and online safety training courses, periodically inspect labs for safe operations, review risk assessments.
  • Create and maintain training schedule and tracker of trained users, as needed, for lab tools.
  • Coordinate with Hazmat team for chemical spills/leaks and troubleshoot critical utility failures with a crossfunctional team.
