Research Specialist
Job Description
We are partnering with an Aerospace & Defense organisation who is seeking a Technical Library Specialist to join their team based in Milwaukee, WI.
This position is responsible sourcing and researching parts in support of customer and inventory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Alternate part numbers should be entered.
- Parts should be sourced from previous procurements as well as other sources such as Haystack and ILS.
- Create and send a message Request for Proposals
- As needed, obtain bids and track down paperwork.
- Part numbers should have recommended vendors added to them.
- Inquire with Sales about any pieces that aren't working.
- Requests for quotes should be followed up on.
- To locate sources/solutions, use technical data.
- Bids from vendors should be entered.
- Examine vendors to find reliable sources.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree and/or 1-3 years of relevant experience are required.
- Positive attitude and meticulous attention to detail, as well as a strong technical background
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Microsoft Windows programmes are second nature to you.
Training:
- Pentagon Basics
- Export & ITAR compliance
- Aerospace Industry Quality Training (Which includes QMS training, FAA 00 56, Traceability, 8130-3
- documents, PAH’s , ESD, Suspected unapproved Parts, Shelf Life/LLP’s, AD’s, ATA Spec 300, PMA
- Parts, Direct Ship Authority, Repair Stations and Standard Terminology.
- 90 Day Probation OJT (Includes, Return Material Authorization (RMA), Adding Vendors, Purchase
- Order Creation, Approved Suppliers Electronic Document Management, Sourcing, RFQ, Research.
