International Moves Consultant

An International Moving and Relocation provider is urgently looking to hire an experienced International Moves Consultant to join their local team.

This position offers a flexible hybrid working structure and both Permanent and Fixed-term contract opportunities are available.

Scope of the International Move Consultant role:

  • To coordinate and manage the full household goods moving process for corporate clients

  • To partner with corporate clients and their assignees throughout their relocation and move

  • To deliver high levels of customer service at all times

  • To manage the logistic and shipping process for personal effects

Further duties of the position include:

  • Managing the end-to-end household goods moving process for a portfolio of corporate clients

  • Actively manage relocation move cases to business and FIDI / FAIM standards

  • Act as the subject matter expert on moves coordination and service delivery

  • Support Directors with areas of improvement

  • Deliver moving services per client policy and continuously liaise with clients and assignees during their move

  • Receive and log all required shipping documentation for import and export

  • Monitor shipment arrival dates to ensure customer processes are actioned early to avoid any penalties

  • Prepare documents to apply for an export permit

  • Secure best pricing and rates for the move to ensure a profit and re-price corporate moves as required using systems and tools

  • Track all relevant shipping, logistics and relocation documentation

  • Liaise with shipping and freight forwarding companies as well as external vendors and partners

  • Responding to client queries and providing issue resolution

  • Ensure client moves are invoiced in full

Skills required include:

  • Expert knowledge of international household goods moving and move management process

  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to liaise confidently with corporate clients

  • Good understanding of shipping, logistics, relocation and freight forwarding processes

  • Strong IT and MS Office experience using Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • A positive and personable attitude

  • Excellent ability to problem-solve

  • Fluent in written and spoken English
